Sector focus

Understanding the business behind every payment.

Seven controlled industry groups organize ALTA’s proposed focus. Each applicant, corridor, counterparty and transaction remains subject to its own risk assessment.

Important

Industry eligibility is assessed case by case and remains subject to ALTA’s compliance framework, restricted activities policy and banking arrangements.

01

Agricultural & Food Trade

Documented trade in agricultural products and food goods may be considered with review of counterparties, origin of goods, shipping records and commercial purpose.

02

Industrial Equipment & Components

Equipment, machinery and component flows may require enhanced product classification, end-use, sanctions, export-control and dual-use review.

03

Electronics & Technology Hardware

Hardware and electronics require risk-based assessment of specifications, supply-chain participants, origin, destination, end use and potential dual-use exposure.

04

Automotive & Mobility Trade

Vehicles, parts and mobility equipment are assessed for title, fraud, sanctions, export-control, origin-of-goods, counterparty and corridor risks.

05

Apparel, Footwear & Textiles

Sourcing, manufacturing and wholesale activity may be considered where suppliers, customers, goods, labour considerations and trade documentation are supportable.

06

Logistics & Trade Services

Freight, forwarding and related services may be considered when the underlying goods, counterparties, route and commercial purpose are transparent.

07

Wholesale & Distribution

Cross-border wholesale and distribution require documented products, suppliers, customers, pricing logic and corridors, with enhanced review where risk indicators arise.
